Save Your Egg Shells And Sprinkle Them In Your Garden Soil

Eggs, from a ‘usable protein’ standpoint, are the best type of protein out there. Also, according to the results of a recent study, consuming at least one egg a week is associated with a 29% lower risk of heart disease.

I am fortunate enough to have friends who raise chickens and help me out by giving me eggs for free. I try to explain to them that the current street value of eggs is through the roof, but they still offer them up, thankfully. I also purchase a lot of eggs from the store as my family finances allow. All of that creates a lot of eggshells.

Rather than throw the eggshells away, I collect them in a bucket, crush them up, and then sprinkle them into my garden soil to help my veggies grow better. I get my gains, and my garden gets its gains 🙂 Below is an embedded video that I recently posted to the Older Muscles YouTube channel that further discusses the topic of using eggshells in garden soil.
